像是2 live crew, nwa, public enemy, 甚至是 vanilla ice and marky mark..

T:
Kleine Träume - D.I.M
Swoon - Chemical Brothers (Boys Noize remix)
Paradise Poltergeist (LA Riots remix) - TAI
Interplay - Wasabi (Fat and Ugly Remix)
Told Ya - Sandro Silva (Apster Remix)

T:
WOW.

E4Electro Explosion NYE Artist Interview 001: TAI

E:
Please tell us why you became an electro producer/dj from a hiphop producer?

T:
I have been producing most of the big hip hop artists in germany for the last 7 years in which i recieved gold plaques and many top 10 hits, so i have been seeking a new challenge i guess.

E:
Fans in Taiwan are crazy about your work withD.I.M.. Are you two still working together? What’s the difference between DIM and other artists, like Steve Aoki/Tim Healey/Tomcraft, you work with? Could you reveal a bit of the latest plan of DIM & TAI?

T:
First of all i want to thank all you guys that listen and supported our record. i am always stoked to hear feedback from countries i have never been to before.
d.i.m. and i have actually been in the studio this month working on our next release. we are good friends and have been djing together this year.
steve came to my studio with a good vibe and i recorded him on paradise poltergeist. after that we had an afterparty with his manager at the mandarin oriental :)
tomcraft album i produced 6 years ago and we are still studio mates. this was me favorite track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5vHepNzLjo

he is now producing with tim healey.

E:
You’ve released EP on different record lables like Dim Mak, BNR, Southern Fired, and Mixmash. For Taiwanese producers and djs, could you tell us how it was done?

T:
I think at the end of the day it all comes down to the music. you don't need to have the contacts nowadays ether cause of the internet. you can send your music to all labels and producers. that's the good side of the web. my first demo i made 10 years ago, i had pressed as a cd and vinyl with a cover artwork and after sending hundreds of them to labels around the world i found out they were never listened too because it wasn't solicited. so that was a waste of money :-)

E:
Hiphop and electro are quite different. What are the attractions you find in them?

T:
Hip hop is what i grew up with. 2 live crew, nwa, public enemy, even vanilla ice and marky mark, ha ha.
the thing i like about electronic music though is that it is constantly evolving and changing. it is a young music with loads of new impulses from all round the world every day.

E:
Have you been to Taiwan before? What’s the impression it gave you?

T:
Never. i used to live in thailand when i was a kid. you can not emagine how much i am looking forward to coming over!

E:
Please name 5 songs that you like the most recently?

Kleine Träume - D.I.M
Swoon - Chemical Brothers (Boys Noize remix)
Paradise Poltergeist (LA Riots remix) - TAI
Interplay - Wasabi (Fat and Ugly Remix)
Told Ya - Sandro Silva (Apster Remix)

I actually produced " kleine träume " together with d.i.m.

E:
Taiwan is the food heaven of Asia, what’s your favorite food? Do you cook?

T:
I totally adore the asian food in general and am always interested in trying things i don't know. i like to eat spicy curries for breakfast. as specially after partying! even the asian people i know, say they can't eat that in the morning.

i love to cook goood foood. it is my hobby.

E:
How do you define a good party?

T:
Hot, laud, sweaty, sexy, dark, mad guys, nice girls and last but no way the least, a good soundsystem :)

E:
Besides music and producing, what do you like to do for leisure?

T:
Wow, i hardly have any time for other things as music used to be my leisure and turned into what i do for a living.
I like to play paintball, go to fashion shows and cook good food.

E:
Anything you want to say to your Taiwanese fans?

T:
I am so looking forward to partying with you and banging out my new music and unreleased coming soon stuff.
also spending a few days eating your food, meeting the people and going shopping, ha ha. i am like a girl when it comes to shopping clothes :-)

looking forward to seeing you.

peace,

tai
